"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their Nation."

General George Washington

Who We Are

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1929 was established in Petaluma, California, in 1930 by local World War I veterans to impact Petaluma and our surrounding communities positively. We are a 501(c)(19) nonprofit Veteran Support Organization officially chartered by Congress under Title 36 USC Ch. 2301. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1929 has fostered camaraderie among past, present, and future members of our veteran and military community.

We have been developing citizens and leaders of character locally for more than 91 years.
