Hosted by Russian River VFW Post 768, American Legion Post 11, and the Town of Windsor, The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, came to  Sonoma  County and was on display at Wilson Ranch Soccer Park in Windsor from March 28 through the 31st.

The event began on Wednesday the 27th with an escort of American Legion Patriot Riders from Petaluma Chapter 28 and Healdsburg Chapter 111 who accompanied the display from Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma to the display site in Windsor. In addition to a replica of the Wall there was also a Mobile Education Center comprised of digital displays of photos of local service members whose  names  are on The Wall.  The Education Center  also  exhibited   letters   and   memorabilia representative of items left at the Wall in DC, a map of Vietnam, and  a chronological overview of the Vietnam War.

Hundreds of people from all over the county came to see the exhibit and honor those veterans who served.  It was truly a moving experience for many and a welcomed event for our proud veteran
